Wrath of Pecans is a big, sweet barleywine, conditioned on roasted pecans and caramel. This beer is full-bodied, sugary, with light toffee notes. Like liquid praline!

L: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Had a dark, mahogany brown color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a thin, off white, foamy head that quickly dissipated. Not much lacing to speak of.

S: A very enticing aroma of hops, caramel , nuts, booze and malt.

T: Tasted of decent amount of the advertised pecans (a subtle presence), some sweet malt (present throughout, though unobtrusive), a lot of caramel (the dominant factor), and a decent amount of booze (not an obnoxious element). An incredibly well-formed, sweet, and likable flavor. Much more caramel than the usual barleywine, but it works. Delicious.

F: A below average amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.

O: An extremely well made beer. Drinkable.

Great looking beer. Deep, dark coppery orange body under a proper off white foamy head, about an inch and a half worth. Nose is just ridiculous. Pecan, that dry, daintily sweet Toblerone kind of chocolate and no heat whatsoever despite the high abv. Taste is no different than the nose at first but pretty soon you get a slight hint of heat which actually carries the taste out. Pretty thick bodied and not overly dry. Terrific beer.
