"Spellbound is a big, thick, rich stout aged for over a year in Clear Creek Distillery apple brandy barrels. It has definite notes of caramel, chocolate, dark wine, and toffee."
4 oz pour on tap. Pours pitch black with a small tan head that fades to a thin ring. Aroma and flavor are dark roasted malts, booze, vanilla, and brandy. Very hot and kind of thin. I know it's 18% abv, but in this case it's a not-great 18%.

L: Poured from a growler to a pint glass. Had a dark brown / black color and a thick, opaque consistency. There was a thin, tan-colored, foamy head that quickly dissipated. Not a whole lot of lacing to speak of.
S: An enticing aroma of chocolate, booze, malt, and caramel.
T: Tasted of a decent amount of booze (apple brandy, specifically), a hint of caramel (quite sweet), some malt (present throughout), a good shot of chocolate (a big factor here), and a little toffee as well. This is a big and aggressive flavor. It's boozy, but not nearly as much as the ABV% would belie. It's a complex and interesting flavor.
F: An average amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium- to full-bodied.
O:If you like big stouts, check this one out. Drinkable.
