This one pours a clear pinkish amber with a robust 2.5" head that leaves very strong lacing. Nose is light, sweet malt, barley, citrus pith, earthy hops. Taste has mild malty and earthy sweetness (must be the beets) but clean, crisp hops on the finish that keep it well balanced. Mouthfeel is thin with ultra crisp, almost champagne-like carbonation. Worth picking up, though not sure it's a great expression of an American amber.

A: The beer is relatively clear cherry red in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a half finger high off white head that left a collar around the edge and thick lacing covering the surface and coating the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of malts are present in the nose along with notes of beets and hints of herbal hops.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the beet flavors are a bit stronger and also contribute some sweetness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and a bit clean and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O:This is an interesting take on a lager. The beets lend some interesting characteristics to the taste and there are enough hops and underlying malts to prevent this from tasting like beet juice.
