A classic pub ale, lightly hopped with EKG and bramling cross hops. Medium bodied with a silky mouthfeel from a generous addition of oats. Notes of scone crust, cracker, lemon spritz, dark berry, honey, thyme, and a touch of earth, very easy drinking.

Listed by the brewery as an English golden ale, I’m not sure what style it fits in. It is pretty hazy, so it is likely an American take on whatever style. It comes across as an either a mild English pale ale or an American golden ale. I’m rating it as an indescript session ale with an eye on pale mild.
Near still look aged hazy, as mentioned. Original aromas showed some honey and light biscuit, but later sniffs showed some melon and hints of lemon and grapefruit.
A little on the flat side, but the malts come through with some honey grain bread. The lemon noted late in the nose is a more major component of the taste. It is never really sweet nor bitter, balanced pretty much from the start to finish, with a slight fruit skin-like bitterness to end things.
A decent easy drinking beer that would be better if it had some head and a bit more carbonation.
