Strong Brewing Company

 

During the COVID-19 pandemic, there was a an outdoor seating area for beer drinkers. On Wednesdays through Saturday, there is an outside food provider, but I came on a Tuesday in August. The setting was overwhelmingly casual with very few people there. Most who were drank a single beer and then headed out. It is really out of the way, close to 20 miles away from Route 1.

There were five beers on tap, four of which could be tried as a flight (a "lager", IPA, Saison, and Porter). Additionally, there was a DIPA available for purchase. I found all of the beers to be better than average. Beers were ordered through a window and then you could walk to a picnic bench to enjoy them.

The brewery seemed to be a converted home. I believe the owner served me. He was polite and pleasant but not friendly--perhaps a typical Mainer.

Definitely try to come by to try the beers--they are on the mellow end and very good.
