From BeerAdvocate Magazine #83 (Dec 2013):
Without a doubt, this beer needs to be cleaned up: Yeast is a distraction, and the alcohol is nearly hot here. We almost have to say this is leaning toward just being an American Strong Ale rather than an Imperial IPA, as there are so many other flavors in play that are fighting for the spotlight.
STYLE: Imperial IPA
ABV: 9.0%
AVAILABILITY: Year-round
LOOK: Cloudy amber, long trail of lacing
SMELL: Light toasted grain, yeast, orange pith, powdered aspirin, wildflowers, tobacco
TASTE: Creamy, smooth, intense hop bitterness, thick grapefruit rind, very pungent, rose water, spicy alcohol, caramel, tropical fruit, warming, flour, bread crust, grassy, heavy yeast; semi-astringent, hoppy finish
