Dark brown in color with little light penetration. No head. Aroma is a bit light from the bacon fat but I get some salt and bacon fat. I taste very little bacon or maple, just touch of bacon far and saltiness in the fade. I suspect most of the flavor is coming from the cognac barrel aging. The mouth is warm with alcohol.
