Black in color and impenetrable to light. The aroma is of dates, currants, figs, and raisins. I'm tasting molasses, dates, figs, and raisins. The mouth is thick, sticky, and a bit boozy. I was a bit concerned as when I popped the cap I didn't hear any carbonation and it popped off a bit too easily.
