Pitch black in color with no chance of light permeating this. There's no head at all. I'm definitely smelling the plums and I'm just getting a touch of the fig and there's also some dark malt. The plums are dominating the flavor profile along with sweet bourbon with just a suggestion of fig and dark malt and it comes off as very sweet. As it warms the sweet bourbon really becomes aggressive. There's a lot of sweetness here and it becomes cloying. The mouth is boozy and oily, even 9 months after bottling.
