From the 12 oz bottle in a snifter via a friend from work---Thanks Randy!
This rather unique brew pours a murky red tinged light brown color with a
moderate head of white foam that subsides to a thick ring and light spotty
lacing. Nose of ginger, nutmeg, pumpkin spices of clove, and light caramel
malts. Flavors lightly exceed the nose with pumpkin spices being the driving
force with light toffee and subtle cold pressed coffee notes that are lightly
touched with subtle cream (lactose), and subtle breaded notes. Decent mouth
feel; medium body, medium light carbonation, and a spiced sweet ginger bread
like finish that is lightly dry.
Overall, I prefer this to most of the pumpkin brews out there, but overall it is
interesting the first sip and then becomes a touch cloying and overbearing.
For the spiced beer lovers out there this is a good one to try.
Cheers
