Salted Caramel Pumpkin lives up to its name as a malt forward caramel flavored ale with the perfect balance of sweet and salt. To achieve this balance, we are using a blend of Caramel malts and Lactose for a creamy sweetness and add just the right amount of Pink Himalayan Sea Salt as a contrast. Of course, were using Pumpkin puree and our proprietary spice blend for that soft Pumpkin Pie character. Enjoy this medium bodied sweet salty treat.

Appearance: Amber-hued body, a little bit of haze to it. No appreciable head formation beyond a scant, off-white ring.
Smell: Sweet-smelling, cheap-o-beep-o caramel squares in cellophane with a fruity, squash-like hint that doesn't immediately translate as bring pumpkin.
Taste: A noxious, sickly sweetness with a noted artificiality akin to pumpkin-flavored candy and a slight saltiness and a slight sourness, leaving it somewhat difficult to discern any underlying beer.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-light carbonation.
Overall: Jeepers Creepers! Kinda gross, frankly.

T: sweet, caramel taste with hints of coriander and cinnamon.
M: light bodied, but fairly crisp.
O: ok beer overall; a little unbalanced with the salted caramel notes.

The pour is orange colored. The taste is overtly sweet caramel & salty pumpkin. This beer is sort of mess, it's back to the drawing board guys. Cheers! C

16 oz can.
Appearance. Clear dark amber colored body with a weak off-white head.
The aroma features pumpkin, caramel and light spicing. The flavor is heavy on caramel and leaves an overly salty aftertaste.
Mouthfeel. Medium body with medium-light carbonation.

DATE: October 30, 2021... OCCASION: Penn State/Ohio State night--is this the year the Lions break through? Also, Will's freshman football season ends a relative success... GLASSWARE: Schneider Weiss pokal... pours out a sizzling, fizzing off-white head that dissipates to aggressive bubbles bursting at the surface... its body the color of iced tea, a murkiness pervades... toffee, pudding, butterscotch, and spicy bread smack the nostrils... secondary notes of nutmeg, peppermint (?!), and gingerbread complicate the aroma--not sure how to take this one, but salted caramel is not the first few things I think of... sips smoothly, lagerish and lax on the tongue, almost creamy in its finish... the vanilla pudding is the dominant flavor, with sweet caramel, tapioca, vanilla, nutmeg...but where is the pumpkin? quite a misnomer on the label, though any time "malt beverage" is on the label, beer drinker beware... this intrigues enough for me to want the next one, but it isn't one I would consider an Autumn go-to, much less a pumpkin beer....

12oz bottle poured into a goblet
A- pours a deep amber with a one-finger foamy white head that reduces to a ring around the glass
S- aroma smells just like butterscotch pudding up front, followed by a milky vanilla lactose aroma. The pumpkin spicing is subtle, but I can pick up cinnamon and nutmeg
T- sweet and malty up front with a big caramel and toffee note. Mid-palate gives a saltiness on the tongue, followed by some creamy lactose that gives a hint of vanilla. The finish remains sweet with more caramel, with a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg poking through
M- medium body with moderate carbonation produces a creamy mouthfeel that continues into a velvety, almost chewy finish
O- a tasty beer, although if I had it blind I wouldn't know it was a pumpkin beer

This was definitely not what I thought it would be...
...I expected a dessert-like beer but instead got a sour. It definitely tasted like a sour, it's mouthfeel was indicative though the smell was a sweet and delicious blend of salted caramel and pumpkin pie. Overall, it's a solid enough beer, it's just that there was no warning about the overall sour effect and taste.

How is this the 100th best pumpkin beer? It's awful! Cloudy brown body with a white collar is nice, but that is the last aspect that is positive. Smells like candied pumpkin spiced cookie, a ton of sickly sweet caramel, and salt. Tastes like expired candy corn, it is overwhelming and cloying. Feel is cloying, thin, harsh with a slight tanginess. Drain pour
