Copper colored with a fine sedimentary haze. There's a fingernail of brown covering a spot about the size of a half dollar on the top. The aroma is of caramel and nutmeg. I'm tasting nutmeg and light malt. The mouth is light and more aggressively carbonated than I would expect for the style.

From a twelve ounce bottle, this brew is a lightly hazy amber colored liquid. Nice, firm head with lots of lace. This is a nice-looking brew. The taste is balanced. There is a little toasted malt and light bitterness. Nicely drinkable. It is the kind of approachable beer that used to be more common. Very good.
