Dad's Scotch Oatmeal cookies are a St. Louis tradition. We have taken the key ingredients in Dad's Scotch Oatmeal cookies and incorporated them into an Oatmeal Cream Stout. This stout is velvety smooth with a creamy mouthfeel. Hints of chocolate, cinnamon, caramel, oat, raisin, and vanilla combine to create this liquid cookie.

Agree with other reviews, a bit thin and sweet for a stout, but it does taste as described like an oatmeal raisin cookie. Not bad, good for sipping. Probably won’t go out of my way to buy again.

it tastes like it says, a good old oatmeal raisin cookie. Worth one for a try to this unique and spot on taste but unlike a real oatmeal raisin cookie, I'd pass on another.

If you are considering buying this and/or aren't from St. Louis, the label is misleading: the key to the beer is the Dad's Cookie Co. sign below, because it is not supposed to be a straight-up oatmeal stout. As the label notes in small print, it's a malt beverage. But nowhere does it come out and say Oatmeal Cookie Stout.
Pours a somewhat thin brown, like a dunkel or cola. Smell is cinnamon, sugar with a sour chocolate note (milk?). Taste is heavy cinnamon and vanilla, sugar, cola again. Mouthfeel is fairly carbonated, so it's harder to drink as it warms. I'm not from StL and have no Dad's connection so this review might be influenced by my disappointment in it not being a regular oatmeal stout.
Even worse is that this was 1/4 of my beer-of-the-month-club Father's Day gift. Guess I'll cellar 'em.

Fizzy head. Smells lightly of chocolate and spice, a bit of cola as well. Taste is on the sweet side, with caramel, milk chocolate, cola, and a hint of vanilla, with just a touch of pine, finishing with a nice compliment of cinnamon and nutmeg. Moderate carbonation, attempts to finish dry but not quite there. Overall a very pleasant oatmeal stout, with a nicely balanced amount of spice that really does remind of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.

Wow I am actually amazed to me it tastes like a straight up iced oatmeal cookie no joke! Definitely got the spice down that rounds into the oatmeal and even tastes of raisins wtf!
To those who complain that it's too dessert like no sh*t it's based on a cookie.
Really going to have to get more of this it's simple but I was greatly impressed!

Fun beer. Has the strength of spice that you usually experience with a pumpkin flavor, but something different and deeper into fall, going into winter. A little thinner than some other stouts, but that makes sense when the beer's other flavors are so strong--otherwise it would be too far into the dessert category for me. This is drinkable as a regular thing.
