12 oz. bottle, no bottled on date. Acquired a single bottle of this stuff as part of a mixed six pack at the local Binny's. My fourth beer in O'Fallon's line up of Gummie Beers, this one a Mimosa inspired variant.
Poured to a Piraat snifter.
Pours the same as it appears in the bottle - bright golden orange body, small finger of thin white head that falls to a ring. Some small sediment kicking up from the bottom of the bottle.
I'm not sure what this aroma is supposed to be.. smells super artificial. Huge blast of freshly cut orange, citrus zest, clementine, cream. Almost popsicle / dreamsicle -ish smelling. The orange is there, but "mimosa" is not. Not booze, no other aromas of fruit, no authenticity.
Taste follows: slightly tart / sour initially, but it gives way to flavors of artifical orange juice, bacterial yeastiness, and slight flavors of wheat and wet cardboard. Orange flavor tastes more juicy, more zesty, a bit more real than the aroma. Slightly sweet finish. Grainy, yeasty, with a wet paper finish. Light-bodied, good carb, not hard to drink, but this one is just not doing it for me.
O'Fallon Gummie Beer (Mimosa) -----3/5.
