Well this unfiltered wheat beer is nice but not especially noteworthy. It had a nice head which disappeared after a bit. The aroma wasn't especially noteworthy but smelled a bit like wheat, with a touch of honey. The taste was nice, a sweet brew with a hint of citrus, wheat, a touch of spices and more than a bit of honey. There was no bitterness at all. It sits very nice in the mouth and is very drinkable.

Six-pack purchased from a grocery in Mobile, AL.

Pours a hazy golden color with a white head leaving light lacing.

Smells of sweet malts with very slight amounts of wheat and floral hops.

Tastes OK. Sweet pale malts up front with light wheat influences joining in shortly thereafter. Small amounts of earthy hops temper the sweetness a little, carrying through to a mildly sweet ending. Mouthfeel is good, with decent carbonation.

Overall I was disappointed with this beer, it was entirely too sweet and the wheat didn’t do enough to even things out.

Appearance - Hazy yellow, a bit of spotty lacing

Smell- yeasty, malty, a little earthy/grassiness, could be good

Taste - light malty yeasty first off and through the middle, a very minor bit of hops at the end, and a little peppery at the end too. a tad dry. Leaves a not so pleasant yeasty aftertaste, I feel it has a little of that BMC taste to it, not as much as their Gold brew though. Gets a tiny bit better as it warms.

Mouthfeel - A bit prickly for me, too much carbonation?

Overall an alright brew, I wouldn't drink another unless it was the only micro on the menu. I bought a bunch of all of their usual brews, and they do make much better beers than this. I will be trying their Blackberry Scottish and Smoke next, so looking forward to those.

This beer is a clear, pale gold with spritzy bubbling activity. A wisp of white head fades quickly and leaves little behind by way of either foam or lacing. A completely clear unfiltered beer? Uh-oh.
The aroma gives some wheat, a bit of malt, and maybe a hint of leafy hops bitterness.
The flavor is very dull, with some dry malts under the wheat but such a light hops presence that it blends into a bland sort of sourness.
This beer is very light withg a crisp bite. There's no smoothness to balance, no real depth, and there's a somewhat unpleasant slickness.
I've liked O'Fallon since I took a chance on them when they first starting popping up in the area, and was very pleasantly surprised. This was a big disappointment for me.

A - Clear (despite the unfiltered claim) golden brew with a two finger head that quickly reduces to a haze and collar. I'm not really impressed, it looks like any macro lager.

S - Thin and weak nose that smells faintly of tangy wheat and mild citrus hops.

T - Weak hoppy taste with no sign of wheaty flavors at all. Tastes like a watered down pale ale.

M - Thin, watery, and highly carbonated.

D - A pretty weak and uninspired brew. I was expecting something approaching a hefeweizen, but this is more like a bland macro lager with an extra dose of hops. Not bad, but it's extremely boring.

Poured into a mug.

A: Pours a cloudy golden yellow color with some sediment. White head fizzed like a soda and died pretty quickly.

S: Light nose of wheat and some yeasty breadiness. Perhaps some light fruit, but not much else.

T: Some wheat character with a strange tartness. Becomes lemony with a hint of orange. Everything seems disjointed somehow.

M: Light and silky with lower-than-average carbonation. Sediment was noticeable at times and was rather unpleasant.

D: Goes down alright and finishes clean with a tart and lemony aftertaste.

I was pretty disappointed with this one. Some of the flavors were pretty good and it smelled alright, but perhaps the beer just needed more time for the components to blend. I bought this in a mixed sixer, so it's quite possible that I just got and old and/or bad bottle. It may be worth my while to try and find a fresh one and give a second opinion, but for now, first impressions are not good.

A decent pale wheat beer with more of a yeast-driven flavor than anything. The appearance is so-so, I couldn't get any head retention or lace, so it just looks like apple juice. There's a hint of Blue Moon-like (not traditional wit) spice in the nose and the flavor is quite fruity with a hint of wheat grains.

2nd Missouri beer of the night, here's hoping this one is better, if i can finish it, then; yeah it was...

Pours a hazy straw color with 3 fingers of pearl white head into my Erdinger hefe glass. Head just vanishes, average lacing

S: Faint lemon & grainy bread

T: Lemony hops, cereal notes & a touch of honey malt up front. Dryness, a touch of wheat tartness & more lemony hops, plus a touch of apricot as this warms. Finishes citrussy & wet with slight cereal sweetness, almost pulled a 3.5

MF: Light/medium bodied with moderate carbonation & good balance

Drank very easy, nothing complicated here, but an adequate Summer quaffer

Slightly cloudy yellow hue; a massive 1 inch bubble bath bright white head that thins down to a decent ring. Decent carbonation and sizzling going on. A very citrus like aroma with some malt and bread notes on the nose. Zesty up front, lemon peel and wheat are noted in the initial tastings; a bit light in body, but not the offending kind of light. Cracker and bread crumb notes with a malty palate. Very crisp, nothing fancy, just pour, drink and enjoy. Look forward to more of these in the dog-days of summer!

received as an extra in a trade.

Love wheat beers, as a disclaimer up-front.

A- hazy pale gold. Next to no head.

N - Lots of malts and some spices. But no hops at all.

T- bland. Almost no taste at all, which is rare for my experience with this style of beer.

M- Love wheat beers so like it. For the sytel has a good mothfeel. Not over the top, but not too light.

D- has no tatse so could take this via an IV with no problem...however, wouldn't given the lack of flavor....

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a weizen glass.

Appearance: Decent carbonation for the style. Hazy golden yellow with a modest white head that doesn't last for long.

Smell: Bland. The smell of the wheat malt is there but it doesn't do anything to wow me.

Taste: I don't know exactly why, but this seems kind of off for the style. Perhaps too much barley and not enough wheat, perhaps the wrong yeast was used.

Mouthfeel: A bit dry, kinda oily.

Pours a turbid sort of golden brown with a bright white head that disappeared very quickly.
Aroma of muted pale malt and craked grain, picked up a bit of metallic (uh oh)
Flavor was dominated by a tinny sort of note which actually sort of made my fillings hurt.
Mouthfeel was a tad thin and watery and really lacks anything to offer in the way of balance or constructive characteristics.
Drinkability was really poor. I hope that something went horribly wrong with this batch and this beer is not supposed to taste this way. This brewery has made some relaly nice beers but this is definitely not one of them. Avoid.

I live just outside O'Fallon and try to support my local breweries. So anytime I go to the store I will usually pick up a 6 pack of one of our local places and give it shot. This stuff to me wasn't half bad. It poured golden with a lot less haziness then I expected. It didn't have the best aroma, just kind of bland and not much complexity. It tasted light and had a nice pronounced wheat finish. Not much after taste, which I like. Mouth feel was smooth and light, and it’s very drinkable, especially in our local hot weather.

I relies this isn’t the king of wheat ales but its not half bad to down now and then.

Appearance: Pours a clear, dull light golden color with a huge, foamy white head. Head retention's pretty good. A little light for the style...

Smell: The slightest touch of a banana/clove aroma. Something in the aroma makes me think 'Belgian'...strange. Very fresh smelling.

Taste: This has all of the flavors that are expected in be in a German-style summer wheat beer, but in a much smaller way. Almost tastes like a Hefeweizen-light. Quite bland and uninteresting.

Mouthfeel: Fairly good thickness, with a soft, rounded mouthfeel. Good carbonation keeps it crisp on the lips.

Drinkability: Average. In fact, everything about this brew is average. It's very unchallenging to the tastebuds, and on that note, why drink it at all? I'll leave my fridge space open for something more exciting.

Brought back from Missouri during XMas trip. Poured from a 12oz bottle (no dating info) into a weizen glass. It was a hazy pale straw in color. Very little carbonation and no lacing. It had a small fizzy white head that quickly evaporated into nothing - not even a hint of a collar.

The aroma yeasty with a funky wet dog smell to it. No pleasing at all. The taste wasn't any better. Tasted more like a bad kolsch than an APWA to me.

Overall, a really bad beer. Avoid. One and done and can I get my money back.

It has a brass colored body with plenty of hazy bubbles and a little bit of sediment. It had a nice head that disappeared quickly. There is not much for lace. It stays pretty cloudy for a while. It has plain wheat like odor that is mild. It is medium bodied and I thought it was lacking in flavor. A little bit clove and grain like and that is about it. Easy to drink thin body.

I'm going to go ahead and preface this by saying that the bottle I just opened is from February of 2006. It has O'Fallon's older labeling and is quite faded. We recently found a six pack behind a lot of other stuff in one of the coolers at work. So, the age and how it's held up have been considered in my ratings. It poured very smoothly with barely any head, which did lace the glass. It is pretty clear, as I didn't mess with the sediment on the bottom, and is a golden yellow in color. It smells pretty good. It's yeasty without seeming flat or overly yeasty. It's solid. It tastes great considering it's so old. It has a good yeasty flavor and is slightly sweet. The mouthfeel is actually quite crisp and refreshing. I think I would find a new six pack of this very refreshing and a pretty solid wheat.

Translucent, pale canary yellow color. Nice white head that vanishes without a trace.

Smells like sugary cornbread malt with lemon juice.

Not that wheaty. Light and refreshing it's lemon heavy with a mild yeasty harumpf at the end. Tastes like summer.

I like it. My new favorite bad beer since Harpoon Winter Warmer.

Poured from 12 oz bottle, brought back from the States.
Straw yellow color, slightly hazy as expected from an unfiltered wheat. Short but solid white head, thin yet long lasting foam. Smell is slightly yeasty, with a bit of lemon citrus.
Taste is quite light, some bready malt, wheat flavor. Nice citrus freshness at the end. Light but clean flavor, crisp finish. Light and thin mouthfeel, appropriate for the style. Very drinkable, could easily enjoy a few on a hot summer day. Refreshing with enough bite to cleanse the palate when served with food.
Nothing spectacular, but a very good beer.

Poured from 12 ounce bottle

Appearance- Straw yellow hazy color of a unfiltered wheat. Light white head retention.

Smell - Very faint. Slight lemon and a little yeasty.

Taste- Very light taste. I enjoyed the middle taste of the beer which had a nice bready note. The beer definitely has a one note taste to it. I really enjoy the note so the beer is enjoyable for me. Had a very clean, crisp finish.

Mouthfeel- Very light. Common for the style.

Drinkability- Very high. Could easily down a couple of this on a hot summer day.

Overall- Though the smell is faint and there are other better tasting wheats out there, It's a nice easy drinking wheat and I definitely will seek it out especially in the spring and summer.

Poured from a bottle a cloudy tangerine color with a light white head. Not much on the lacing.

Aroma has a nice hint of spice, lemon, and yeast.

Taste is light with a yeast and almost apple-like flavor. Nice taste of wheat in the finish.

Mouthfeel is light and sharply carbonated.

This is a very easy to drink beer especially on a hot day.

Appearance: Nice big white head when poured into a Hacker-Pschorr Weisse glass. Hazy middle yellow color, lots of carbonation.

Smell: Smells very lightly citric and grainy.

Taste: More light citrus (orange), and grain. not a whole lot going on here, misses many of the flavors associated with a Hefe Weizen.

Drinkability: Not offensive whatsoever, but is missing quite a bit in the flavor department.

12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass.

Pours a cloudy, pale straw with a fleeting fizzy whtie head that diminishes to absolutely nothing. No lacing, and not even a hint of foam on the surface. Aromas of light wheat, subtle tart lemon, lightly funky yeast, and perhaps an inordinate amount of spice (coriander?). Short, quick finish with a mild lingering yeast and spice combination. Light bodied with just a touch of crispness; overall body is soft and rounded.

Drinkable enough, but the spice builds to a level beyond what I'd prefer, and the soft, round palate just doesn't seem to work for the style. This particular bottle is easily a few months old, as it came from the O'Fallon brewery before they contracted their bottled beer to Steven's Point, so perhaps it has lost something with age? Disappointing, especially since their Wheach has a solid wheat beer backbone, which is what I expected this to be.
