Olhao 21/7 2016. 33 cl bottle from Jumbo Supermarket. Usual transparent label with outline of a sexy lady. The ideal beer for a trip to the titties bar.
Pours very dark brown with a light beige head. Settles as a thin layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma of sweet chocolate (not the bitter variety), dark roasted malts and brown sugar. Nice and mellow.
Soft carbonation and creamy palate. Slighty thic and almost flat texture.
Flavor is mostly sweet with a lingering toasty aftertaste.
Altogether a pleasant experience.

Review according to BJCP2008 guidelines (style 4C). Bottle 50 cl - Batch L15/2014LP. AROMA: pungent sour / vomit like aroma that overpowers all other aromas (very faint roasted malt aromas, no hops or fermentation byproducts). APPEARANCE: very dark brown to black color and opaque. thin tanned head with poor retention. TASTE: horrible sour taste certainly from contamination. faint roasted flavors. undrinkable. PALATE: light body. OVERALL: as other "Vadia" beers with the same aroma / flavor, this batch shouldn’t be sold. its clear the brewhouse has somekind of infection given the high levels of butyric / acetic acid present in all the "Vadia" beers tasted. The bottle went to the drain as it is undrinkable.

Note: consume until the end of October'13. According to the brewer, you should drink this beer as soon as possible. It's a 'fresh' beer, expected to be consumed quickly for its smell, taste and mouthfeel not to fade away.
A: Pours a nice black body with a little caramel head with both no retention and lacing. 3.00
S: Too sweet: sugary, sweet coffee, caramel. 2.75
T: It's has a very low profile of tasting when you compare it to normal stouts or porters. 2.75.
M: Too watery. This beer has no creamy body nor a medium mouthfeel. No bitterness to speak about nor any good thing. 2.75
O: I've drank a Vadia Preta before on tap and it was (much) better than this bottle. The freshness of this bottle is doubtful.
---
Update: Drank at CoolaBoola, Coimbra in a tasting provided by Vadia on December of 2021. This is now much better as the toastiness of the malts is surprisingly refreshing with a light body. Now recommended.
