This near black ale has a fine, durable beige head that leaves ample lacing.
The aroma is quite spicy, suggesting that the flavor may be over-spiced. If not quite there, it is certainly near the threshold of over-spiced. Strong notes of nutmeg and, perhaps, allspice. with subtle cinnamon. Roasted grains are certainly present in abundance but struggle to show themselves thru all the spices. Mildly bitter. Full body with medium-light carbonation.
