July 3rd, 2015 - My palate here at Beer on Broadway is getting a bit fatigued, so I finish with the Coffee Milk Stout. The smell spills out of the taster glass too quickly for me to catch much of a whiff, but there is a bit of a cream and coffee smell, though not complex or deep. I blame the vessel. The body is thinner than I expected, but the brew offers a long, savory coffee satisfaction, dry and not especially bitter. There's a slight tang too, though not especially strong.

This coffee taste so much like beer, it's insane! Or is it the other way around? Either way, this is a delicious, milky beer that is high and ABV, and very smooth. Taste so much like coffee, I forgot I was drinking beer! Very subtle and delicious

Had the nitro version of this beer. The enhanced creaminess/smoothness from the nitro really made this a treat! Very nice lacing on the glass, and the Pablo coffee addition ( a local delicacy) made a great choice. There is enough maltiness, creaminess from the base beer to satisfy. No off flavors or flaws.

available on both nitro and regular tap for the time being. this has coffee brewed in house (the front half of the bob is a coffee shop), and its freshness is evident. dark brown on color but not black, mocha brown more than anything, with a slightly underwhelming tan head. the nose is not as coffee forward as expected, as much chocolate as java, which is just great. I don't smell the sweetness, but when I take a sip, I do get that lactose sugar in the finish, which is sort of a weird juxtaposition against the acidity of the coffee, but it works. bitterness from the coffee and the dark roasted barley, a complex beer, not entirely in balance, but quite good. I imagine the nitro version is better than the regular, although I only had the former. smooth and easy down, but a bit thin on the body really, especially for the style. a good beer overall, maybe in need of some fine tuning, but its well on its way. the coffee profile is unique, and its going to stick.
