July 3rd, 2015 - The last two tasters from BoB were phenomenal, and even their Pale Ale has a distinctive touch that's rare to find in brewery operations this size. More leather and tobacco in color, the aroma is slightly weedy but normally hoppy. But suddenly fruits lunge out of the flavor, leading with mango, and finishing with strawberry and pineapple. More excellence!

T: Caramel and nutty, and a nice floral hoppy finish, simple but tasty.
F: Pretty light body, medium carbonation.
O: A simple but easy drinking pale.

a pretty classic english style pale ale here, nice clean look to it, glowing deep brass in color, with a good inch of white head in the pint glass. familiar smells of crystal malt and english ale yeast and a pretty heavy dose of hops. this could be sort of an english american combination on the hops, some northwestern grapefruit and pine notes in there with the english bittering and grassy hops. a nice mix for sure. the beer is a little sweet, maybe a bigger pinch of the crystal malt than it needs, but thats personal preference not a flaw in the beer by any means. nice fuller body, lively carbonation, and a hoppy finish that could pass for an ipa. a little filling to drink a ton of, but its solid four season beer. the beers have gotten considerably better here since they opened a few years ago, and it looks like the innovation has accelerated. this is one of their staple beers, and while its definitely not the most interesting brew on the menu, its a rather authentic take on a style we dont have enough of here in denver.
