a pretty classic english blonde mild. it has all the elements, and all in just the right proportions. plenty of pale barley malt and maybe some maris otter in the grain bill, its biscuity but not sweet in the least, bready and fresh, light for the style. the yeast is english in nature, but fermented cool enough it seems to avoid some of the usual pitfalls of these types of beers, and it ends up drinking real crisp, almost lager-esque, bone dry and snappy. the hops are on point as well, and although i cant readily place the varietals used, it has a great mix of vegetal leafy grassy freshness and european style bitterness. its pretty well hoppy as english milds go, robust but still clean and easy. a perfect low alcohol summer beer with flavor, quite a bit different than the session india pales everyones making these days, but serving a similar niche i suppose. i like this a lot in hot weather, and think the beers here at the bob have gotten markedly better over time. almost across the board they have really improved.
