decent take on the style for an american brewery. i think it was fermented a bit warm, the yeast is a little too fruity and intense in the nose, out of balance, and a little harsh in the flavor, i reckon a few degrees cooler during the fermentation and this is a way better beer. i still like it though, and think they have done a nice job with the rest of it. the beer is fairly hoppy for the style, which flatters the yeast and adds another layer not often there in these types of beers. the grain is fuller bodied but very pale in color and mild in flavor, sweet enough to showcase the yeast, but not so flavorful or big that it makes the beer heavy or malty in its essence. notes of green apple, white grape, even fresh orange juice in the nose from the yeast, more bitter and leafy green from the hops in the flavor, but the two elements together are nice. i dont need five of these, but a couple of glasses are quite agreeable. the beers were solid across the board here, and the more ambitious the recipes, the etter the results it seems. not sure what that says about the brewer(s), but this one is one of their better offerings at the moment.

7/3…served on tap at the brewery as part of the sampler. Overall a mellow pale, both fruity and, bready. Light hop bite, but towards the back. Easy drinking pale.
