On cask at The Old Toad for their cask fest.
Pours a bright golden orange, with a very small, less than quarter inch head, and no lacing.
Smells incredibly juicy, with tons of citrus flavor- orange, pineapple, grapefruit, peaches, mangoes, just loaded with it.
This essentially tastes like fruity hop juice. The cask version of this, especially with the addition of delicious Simcoe hops, has completely transformed this beer. It looks and tastes nothing like the original, and it tastes a lot better than the original. So juicy, pure hop flavor with essentially no bitterness.
Medium bodied, crisp, juicy mouthfeel, so, so drinkable. The cask did some nice stuff to the mouthfeel, though it does seem a little flat.
This was probably the best selection at the cask fest, just unbelievable stuff.
