Somewhat medicinal but I like the bite, smooth and creamy. Would probably enjoy more in colder months

750ml brown bottle, sample from the brewery.
Thin white lacing but it sticks around. Clear pale copper hue. Gummy phenols, orchard-like esters, toasty wood, hint of vanilla, and some faint cake batter in the nose. Smooth and slick, medium bodied. Lots of wood with some boozy undertones, mild phenols meld well with the touch of vanilla. Very warming, enjoyable to sip. Good stab at the style, nice barrel character.

Very solid, had side by side with Allagash Curieux and this brew held its own. A touch less sweetness compared, but I liked that aspect. Great body and good carbonation level. It only got better as it warmed.
