Almost clear golden amber (SRM5-6). The head is strangely reminiscent of the rocky type head that develops over a soda, immediately dissipating, leaving no lace on the North Coast shaker pint glass. Occasional carbonation clings to the glass.
Fruity citrus flavors give way to pineapple, pinecone, and caramel. Warmth is no friend as it brings out distinct cat urine.
Bitterness and sweetness are quite powerful and clearly out of balance. Flavors include pineapple and white wine. The finish is long, bitter, and astringent.
This has a light-to-medium body and is almost flat with a watery texture. Alcohol is astringent and more present than 4.8% suggests.
For me, this is a so-so beer, but for someone else, it could be a nice introduction to the world of Craft Beer.

Not nearly as thin as many session IPA's that I've had. On draft at the brewery. Very pale, almost white wine like in color. Tropical fruits on the nose, backed up by floral and citrus flavors on the palate. Very light, but a more solid body than I expected. A pleasant surprise.
