On tap at Pacific Plate Brewing Company in Monrovia, CA.
Pours a hazy yellow with a foamy off-white head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of cardamom, pickled ginger, and ginger juice aromas. Taste is much the same with ginger, ginger juice, cardamom, and spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with a great mix of spice and ginger that work slightly better together in the taste to me.
