On tap at Pacific Plate Brewing Company in Monrovia, CA.
Pours a hazy honey brown with a foamy bone head that fades to nothing. Small dots of lace drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of wheat, grain, cocoa powder, caramel, banana, earth, and spice aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa powder, burnt caramel, earth, and spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of earth and spice bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a good beer with more of an emphasis on cocoa, caramel, and spice over the banana aspects.
