Copenhagen 16/1 2026. 33 cl paper-wrapped bottle from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. The colored wrapping paper is quite colorful with doodle drawing in a thin white line.
Pours opaque, murky dark brown with a small off-white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as a thin Tim of foam running along the side of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with sweet, sugary, malty odor mingling with dark alcohol. Brown sugar toffee and dark fruits. Plums, raisins and prunes. Sweet liqueur with a touch of dark rum. Rich and potent.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, a bit greasy and sticky, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and filled to the brim with searing dark alcohol. Lingering. Finish is sweet and potent.
Apart from being very hard to open due to a sturdy wax sealing this was a purs, dark and sweet pleasure.
