Copenhagen 20/4 2025. 37,5 cl heavy glass bottle from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Black label with an uneven and slightly asymmetrical pattern in white and light blue.
Pours opaque, murky dark mahogany with a small off-white head. Bubbly. Disappears after a few seconds leaving a somber dark fluid behind. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong malty and a bit candy-like sweetness soon overpowered by a strong scent of dark alcohol. Sweet malts, chocolate and brown sugar. Prominent presence of whisky and wood. Rich and boozy.
Light carbonation. Thick, oily soft, a bit greasy, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a modest bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and laced in whisky and dar chocolate. Lingering. Finish is saturated in alcohol.
A rich brew where the Whisky meets the Chocolate and comes out triumphant
