500mL bottle for the brewery, a new release for Oktoberfest. Bottled 10/18/13. Brewery website has this seasonal offering at 22 IBU, and states that it uses "a Kolsch yeast strain" for this brew.

Poured into a Block 3 snifter. A hazy caramel golden hue, with a half inch of head which recedes into a thick ring with loads of sticky lace icicles. Nice looking brew.

Nose is grainy and kolsch-like right of the bat, but there is a good malt presence as well.

Again, the grain takes the forefront here, with the malt playing second-fiddle a bit more than I'm used to for the style, but the net result is a good one. Flavorful, pleasant to drink, with a lingering grain and mild citrus finish.

Tasty Oktoberfest-style brew, full of flavor.
