Rye beer brewed with Saison yeast, and so hopped-up I'm calling it a Belgian IPA. Hops are Amarillo, Simcoe, and Columbus. Quite grainy, and distinctly spicy. I wonder what the percentage of rye is— I don't think I've had a more powerfully rye-flavored brew.
Quite bitter aftertaste. This is an interesting and no-holds-barred blending of styles. The serious hopping will interest the student of hops. Clear dark amber in the Stella Artois goblet, fine-grained foam, and lush mouthfeel. From the 355 ml can purchased at Expérience Bière in Montréal.
