Notes:
Saint of Circumstance is our go-to, easy drinking, any occasion brew. We started by creating this tasty blonde ale using wheat for its lemony flavour and added Citra, Centennial and Amarillo hops. We took it to a whole new level by adding the zest of seasonal citrus. The result, a remarkably refreshing and balanced citrus blonde ale.

Look: Pours pale yellow, clear, with a 1 1/2 finger white head. Head disapates slowly over 5 minutes leaving slight head across the top of the glass.
Smell: Citrus, melons, cantaloupe, bubblegum.
Taste: Very light and watery on the front end, earthy and musky in the middle with a lemony sour bitterness at the back end.
Feel: Rounded and mouth filling, but with a soapiness to it that didn't thrill me.
This beer has a fantastic smell, but the taste and texture were not pleasing. This earns a B-

Pours a hazy golden colour with a slightly greenish hue, light foam on top that quickly reduces. Quite a strong taste off this one, the sour notes hit immediately and this is followed by a healthy dose of hops. Notes of lemon zest, orange peel and grapefruit. This beer has a light body and this lends to its smooth and easy drinking appeal. No complaints here.

Overall I quite liked this beer. It pours out with a colour and clarity that does not suggest anything exciting, and exhibits a mild citrous beer smell. However, the taste is nicely balance with a good citrous note, not too strong, and a nice level of hops that will not scare off those that are not into the higher IBU beers. One thing I did appreciate is the lower alchohol content, at 4.7%. Some of these citrous hop beers are getting up to as much as 6.8%, which makes me reconsider having a can before working with tools or driving. This one is a bit lighter both in flavour and hops, so more of a beer that you can have and do something after.

this is really nice beer, underrated on here i think, nice and hoppy, dry and bubbly, not thin at all, and super fresh from the citrus too, complex but real drinkable, session beer for beer drinkers i reckon, i like it a lot and think the art on the cans is pretty incredible too, these look great. lots of citra in nose and taste, an orange and lemon zest profile too, very fragrant but not perfumey, clean and fresh, with a relatively fluffy mouthfeel to it, wheaty maybe, dry but bigger, oddly almost creamy, i could drink a ton of these if left alone to my own devices. its sort of a pale ale meets a hoppy blonde, a neat laying of flavors with the citrus peel, not bitter in the least but definitely very hoppy. its perfect for the summer, best when ice cold, and another good one from these guys. i have liked just about all of them that i have had from them so far. this is different enough to stand out from the crowd, really flavorful for what it is, balanced and not overdone, a nice food beer, i like everything about it!

Can - pours a hazed light gold ale in the glass with a 1 finger rocky white cap - reduces to a surface lace quickly but laces the glass side with sticky proteins. Aroma is infused with light lemon notes, some grassiness over boiled cereal tones. Flavor is fairly rounded and uncomplicated with citrus and earthy hop tones dominating the sturdy pale malt sweetness, turns bitter and dry in the finish - light, refreshing, a good summer sessioner

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a glossy semi-transparent yellow to light orange color. Rimmed lace slides adequately. The aroma starts with a sweet citrus pulpiness and blends a decent bready malt backbone. The flavor blends the malts with the hops decently. Some grassy hops open it up a bit. Grassy to citrus to malty aftertaste with a crisp hoppy finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation yields fine. Overall, decent blonde ale, nothing really off, if anything, I’ll say it’s clean and there’s nothing really off flavored about it.

A 16oz can poured into a Hermit Thrush tulip. Had 2016 brewing date, so at least 3 months old, but recently stocked in Total Wine. Cloudy, refreshing I suppose. The citrus zest additive I don't like. In practice or result in this case. Stands too much in the forefront in my opinion. I'll try a fresher batch at some point as I really like Collective Arts. But this one was just OK.

473ml can poured into tulip 5/9/2016
A pale yellow with a little haze, lots of bubbles throughout feeding a short lived soapy finger that leaves a few random patches
S whaety cereal, floral notes, lemon peel sweet orange, sweet grains, pineapple juice, smells pretty good
T even more rind but everything else is little toned down, a little spruce comes out
M lighter side of medium weight, creams up from tiny bubbles and a mild bitter bite, lemon rind lingers
O enough going on in something light enough to drink a few of, decent stuff overall
Worth a try for sure and fairly priced, maybe better suited for a hot day but drinking well on this chilly afternoon

What a fabulous brew by my (now) favorite brewers. I am more and more appreciating local fresh micros. Collective Arts is raising the bar. This is a great pint to chill out in the sun with. Cheers
