Got this one from hopsolutely this past summer
From a 16oz can into a snifter
APPEARANCE: Clear black pour yields a small wisp that is gone almost immediately. Leaves only a faint wisp and ring. Black body with no real carbonation evident. Looks basically flat at the end.
SMELL: Roasted notes, vanilla cream and lactose sugar, milk chocolate and light notes of coffee on the nose.
TASTE: Roasted notes with vanilla cream, lactose and milk chocolate up front. Medium finish lingers with lactose, milk chocolate, with a hint of coffee and cream.
PALATE: Medium body with medium levels of carbonation. A little fizzy on the palate, goes down okay and finishes a bit mouth-coating.
OVERALL: This is alright. Nothing spectacular and not quite as breakfast-like as I’d hoped. Collective Arts usually makes top notch stuff but this one it a little ho hum.
