Purchased in the Pellvetica can with a gorgeous bear designed by Steve and Sandy Pell. CollectIve arts wins yet again with beautiful can art. Will this one growl contentedly? Let us find out....
Poured slow into a tulip refrigerated 473mL can from the Jan 10-2019 batch. Excellent collar and great efferversence here. Minimal sediment but again i poured it slow to avoid it. If you prefer full sediment look recommend a pint glass with full pour and quick finish. Rich collar lasts well in a light gold slightly hazy pour.
Nose is very rich here of grapefruit and pineapple overtones with subtle grasses.
Taste is quite light for a Double with fruit base of pineapple, light wood, grapefuit and peach.
Feel is quite smooth with light aftertaste and excellent effervesence finish. Surprisingly bubbly for an IPA.
A nice find here but a brewer who rarely disappoints!

A: The beer is very hazy yellow in color and has a moderate amount of visible carbonation along with lots of small particles floating in suspension. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that died down, leaving some wisps of bubbles on the surface and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light to moderate aromas of grapefruit and passionfruit are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell but is a little stronger, starting out with flavors of grapefruit and lime and finishing with passionfruit and hints of pine. There is a slight amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied and juicy on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation. There are some hints of crispness.
O: This beer has an interesting mix of flavors but really sets this apart from others is its drinkability—no traces of alcohol whatsoever are perceptible.

473 ml can served cold into a tulip. An LCBO purchase for $4.75 CDN. Canned January 28, 2019. This might be version 2 as it only has Simcoe and Amarillo hops listed, no Citra and Galaxy.

Appearance - hazy bright golden color with more than two fingers of brilliant white fluffy head. Great staying power, lacing the whole bit.

Smell - plenty of tropical notes, orange, grapefruit with pineapple and passion fruit aromas delight the nose.

Taste - tropical and juicy, orange and nectarine flavore dominate, some bitterness from the grapefruit and hints of cantaloupe and melon round out the tropical experience. A touch of booziness on the aftertaste.

Mouthfeel - medium to heavy body, slick and a touch syrupy with lots of carbonation to balance. Astringent spiciest lingers on the tongue, showing off some booziness.

Overall - yeah, the kings (or queens) of the IPA in Ontario have done it again, this time making a delicious ramped up NEIPA full of hops, fruit, balanced and yet dangerously drinkable. Stacks up really well with Ransack, as well as some of the other ipa's in the IPA series. A little pricy, but worth it.

New England style chunky haze. Foam, gold, lace...all that +. A lively center with an eye of energy.

Sour citrus, tropical blend, golden sunset style aroma.

High toned and sour style citrus hop complexity in the taste is heavily layered. Bitter and sour earthiness is pretty bold as well. Sour and sweet grapes with a tangy bitterness backdrop.

A medium to heavy bodied feel, thick, smooth with some juicy, yet dry tones that make it classic NE style with maybe a bit more alcohol heat and dry bitterness associated.

Overall, a beast in complexity and vibe. A bit bold and harsh around the edges with some very intersting aspects.

Got my hands on a couple of these as soon as I could. It's Collective Arts after all.
So what do we have here? Is it worth the near $5 per can? That is for each individual to decide, but this it is definitely worth the try. Pale, hazy colour and a thin head that remains nicely laced, at least for a little while. The nose is somewhat unassuming.
The taste is nice, with hints of pine nuts. More carbonated than usual from Collective Arts, which is disappointing, with a boozy aftertaste.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a one pint can on January 16, 2019. Brewed and double dry hopped with Simcoe, Galaxy and Citra. Notes of tropical fruit, citrus and dank resin.

Slightly hazy, transparent golden color with tight white head. Good retention, with sheets of lacing.
The aroma offers candied lemon, lime, sugar cookie, cannabis, honeydew melon, and a bit of pine.
Tastes of candied lemon, lime, grapefruit zest, sugar cookie, honey, cannabis, honeydew melon, green grape, and pine. Dry and clean with only a faint hint of bitterness.
Medium-bodied, well carbonated, smooth and crisp.
An extremely pleasant and drinkable DIPA with a great hop showcase!

L: Poured from a tallboy can to a snifter glass. Had a yellow-orange color and a very cloudy consistency. There was an inch of foamy, very long-lasting head. Average lacing.

S: A very nice aroma of hops, citrus fruit, malt, pine, and tropical fruit.

T: Tasted of a hint of pine resin, a lot of hops (the dominant element), some citrus fruit (tangerines, mainly), a bit of malt (barely present), and a decent shot of tropical fruit (pineapple, grapefruit). For a New England IPA, this is a pretty hoppy flavor - not that it's a bad thing. The hops are given solid support from the fruit, making for a solid flavor.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a dry, sharp finish. Medium-bodied.

O: A solidly made NE IPA. Worth a try.

Moderate pour yields a one inch hazy golden body with lacing. Nose of tropical fruit with a bit of a floral thing going on as well. Taste of citrus, tropical fruit with a real nice finish of citrus and a bit of pine. Very smooth with good feel and overall, yet another highly enjoyable beer from our friends up north. Cheers!

So this stuff pours a beautiful hazy yellow with a finger plus sticky white head that leaves thick rings of lace behind as it slowly settles with amazing retention canned on 12/10/18. 4.5

Smell is guava, tangerine, pineapple, blueberry, and a hint of white grapefruit. 425

Taste is sharp and juicy guava, blueberry, tangerine, pineapple, and some grapefruit bitterness that lingers on the tongue for awhile after each sip. 4.25

Mouthfeel is bigger than medium, soft on the palate, a touch sticky not dry, and at 8.2% ABV it leaves its mark, but still drinks easy enough. 4.5

Overall I am digging this rather bold NEDIPA out of Canada, I really think for a shelfie this is some quality suds. Cheers all and enjoy your weekend. 4.25
