500 ml bottle served cold into a tulip. Purchased from the brewery for $7 CDN. Review from notes.
Appearance - Muddled hazy golden bronze color with a small short lived head. Some visible carbonation and no lacing to speak of.
Smell - Cantaloupe and passionfruit with some lemon perhaps. Strong malt backbone in the nose.
Taste - Cantaloupe and passionfruit with intermittent bits of strong citrus and bready and malty backbone. Lemon kicks in later. Booze reasonably well hidden. Melon kicks in at the end and fuses nicely with cantaloupe.
Mouthfeel - Fairly full bodied with some carbonation. Booziness a bit in the back of the throat. Just a little zestiness son the tongue to close.
Overall - Pretty solid IPA, with nice amounts of cantaloupe and melon which isn't a flavor always featured. Good beer would happily enjoy again.

Pours pale with a bold head. Smells, initially at least, the usual fruit, lemongrass combo that most good IPAs now smell (except the West Coast ones). But. The nose fooled me. The taste is completely unexpected. Malty (though not ruinously so), oily, but mostly quite lager like. Still there is some fruit and probably the most boozy tasting beer I had for a long time.
A bizarre and ultimately unsatisfying creation that quenches thirst but shouldn't satisfy connoisseurs.

Really like the artwork on many of the bottles, this one included. A malt forward DIPA, with hops few but tasty in the finish. Freshly preserved in my fridge.
