Poured into a 16 oz Nordic pint glass canned on 4/15/22. Pours a very attractive hazy orange with a finger sticky white head that leaves thick streaks of lace, with solid retention. 4.25

Aroma is white grapes, tangerine, peach, mango, and apricot. 4

Taste follows the Nelson hits immediately grape, tangerine, peach, mango, and apricot. 4.25

Mouthfeel is above average, not sticky or dry, soft gentle carbonation, and at 10.5% it goes very easy. 4.25

Overall this is very nice, worth a shot for sure. Sadly with all the great beers using Nelson, this one falls short of many of my recent experiences with it. Price is right and I will have no problem finishing the 4 pack, but won’t be craving more after. 4.25

From a 16 fl. oz. can with a BB date of Apr 15, 2022. Sampled Feb 26, 2022.

Typical appearance with its slightly foggy amber-orange color under a modest white head that lingers.

Aroma of citrus, tropical fruit, bread, and ash.

The mouthfeel is around medium but smooth.

The taste is sweet and bready at first with the fruity hops rolling in at the finish. Typical of this style.

From the can, it pours a hazy amber color with a nice white head that slowly reduces and leaves lacing. Citrus in the nose - pleasant! Taste is citrus bold with a slight sour touch - smooth fee overall with a lingering citrus tang.

While this is a Collective Arts brew, it is in collaboration with Finback and is brewed in Waunakee, WI. Whew!

Served in a snifter glass from the can.

Appearance: hazy lighter amber color with a medium bubbles to the body and anal off white head which rose initially half a finger's off the body.

Smell: Bland malt. Fresh tropical aroma.

Taste: Nice kveik yeast feel which comes off super juicy. Tangerine meets grapefruit with another hint of cane sugar.

Mouth: Soft carbonation. Sticky and easy to drink.

Overall: very good brew. First day I drank it wish I could have written a quick review. Complex beast with juicy characteristics. Grab it! Salud.

Can: Poured a hazy yellow/orangey color ale with a medium size white foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of hoppy undertones with light juicy notes and some citrus notes. Taste is a mix of juicy citrusy notes with some floral undertones and an overly sweet finish with some cloying notes. Body is somewhat full with good carbonation. A bit messy and overly cloying sweet.

Best by 4-11-22.

A - Really hazy dark orange color with lots of particulates suspended in the beer and sticky, thin (but dense), white lacing.

S - Overall aroma is light with pineapple, mango, citrus, and peach.

T - A nice overall blend of mango, pineapple, peach, citrus, some peppery fruit rind spice, and passion fruit while finishing on the sweeter side with very low bitterness.

M - Thick, viscous, chewy, silky, and leaves a sticky sugary residue coating on the lips.

O - The ABV is expertly well hidden in both the nose and the flavor. For 10.5% this drinks deceptively well.

Collaboration with Finback Brewery from Queens, NY...

Features Nelson Sauvin, Citra, and Azacca hops; best by canning of 4/11/22; 10.5% abv...

Hey, this is pretty good... Sometimes a high-grav TIPA like this can be too heavy or syrupy or sweet or fruity, but this one is nicely balanced in the feel and flavor... Fruity sugars are immediately subdued by a graceful drying element, which is unusual - but it just as quickly recedes and lets the juicy tropical and drier citrus fruits come to the fore - the sweetness does not overwhelm or become cloying, and the body feels aired out and light... Carbonation is soft and mild, like a fluffy NEIPA, with a low level of bitterness as well... Something like a bit of a fruit leather shellac element on the finish, but again, a drying out as if by woody pine, grapefruit pith, and wine grapes...

Probably one of those random, localized beers most people will never see, but if you do, grab one...

Cheers...

All great reviews here except one. That seems to be the one I agree with. At 10.5% .abv I was expecting a BIG something.....a hoppy head shrinker or a sweet, powerful malty/balanced beer. In fact I found the flavor to be sort of dull and nondescript. Poured from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass, this beer looked petty good. Hazy, dull yellow color, big foamy white head with decent retention and wide foamy bands of lacing on the glass. Nose and taste are a bit fruity but vague. l looked up Azacca hops and read the description as "soft' stone fruit taste. Mango was mentioned also. This is a mild tasting beer with some fruit and less than average bitterness, even for a New England style IPA. Mouthfeel was rich enough, nothing watery which I would expect with a high .abv beer. The alcohol is well hidden. Not that bad, but certainly a bit disappointing fo an Imperial IPA.

The pour from a pint can into a clear glass liter mug reveals a pineapple-orange juice colored liquid. It's opaque, just like the juice, but maybe a little more dull. There's almost no head, nor glass lacing, a common trait when the ABV reaches this level. It's a good IPA aroma, with malt, hops, yeast and the hint of alcohol. This is a good tasting Imperial IPA. Everything the nose detected is there to taste in good measure and in excellent balance. There's enough malt to provide some sweetness and carry both the hops and the alcohol. It starts malty sweet, but finishes with enough hop bitterness to accommodate that. There's an alcohol bite, too and it helps marginalize the sweetness. This is one of the better IIPAs with an ABV over 10 percent. Unfortunately, there will be times when a reasonable person may choose to put less alcohol into their system with one beer and they will have to pass. But when the luxury presents itself, this is a must try heavy hitter.
