473ml can served cold into a pint glass. Brewery purchase with an October 1, 2024 canning date.
Appearance - Dark brown near black in color with a finger plus of loose tan head. Moderate staying power and no lacing to speak of.
Smell - Sweet peanut butter right away with a bready aspect to the nose as well. Pretty robust overall too.
Taste - Peanut butter with some honey sweetness. Bready backbone, good depth of flavor that stays on the tongue. A bit acidic at the end.
Mouthfeel - Full bodied and not chewy or chalky but definitely a mouthful. Wouldn't say its slick or velvety either. Carbonation is modest and easy enough to drink although drinks like a heavier beer than the 5.6% ABV belies.
Overall - A tasty and fund concoction, one I wouldn't be adverse to returning as at least a seasonal fave since this hits different when the landscape is snow covered and chilly.
