Single 12 ounce can (best before October 23, 2030 - assuming 5 years post canning) from the brewery - and honestly the Origin of Darkness series has been consistently of high quality, only really straying in instances of odd or overwhelming adjuncts. This is no exception.
Pours a thick and rich black motor oil like with scant rim of reddish brown head that returns with a good swirl.
Aroma of bourbon, dark fruit, vanilla, graham cracker and hints of chocolate. Coffee - even with the suggestion on the can I am not certain.
Sweet vanilla, chocolate, some dark fruit and again a good whack of bourbon on the palate. Again struggle to get coffee.
Rich full mouthfeel - tingling carbonation - noted booziness.
Really good - though if you are searching for a strong coffee hit, this is not it.
