A bold old-school West Coast Imperial IPA, with Simcoe and Columbus CYRO hops for pine, citrus and resin taste characteristics. Cashmere and Cascade hops were added for layers of tropical fruit and grapefruit zest, with a sturdy malt backbone to balance the bitterness.

473ml can served cool into a pint glass. Brewery purchase with December 4, 2025 being the canning date.

Appearance - Fairly hazy golden brew with some yellow and honey brown highlights. A couple fingers of sparkling white head, good retention and a nice cascading lacing pattern.

Smell - Citrus with orange and melon most prominent, pine added for good measure. West coast in intention for sure.

Taste - Intense and piney with a little citrus muddled in. Quite boozy especially as it warms.

Mouthfeel - Full bodied, medium-high carbonation and finishes pretty dry.

Overall - Another good one and recalls some popular DIPA's of the past. Worth a purchase if you can find it.

The entire contents of a pint can fit nicely inside a clear glass liter mug, with a single pour. The head is a proper sized white one that appears to be lasting. The liquid beneath is slightly cloudy, but brightly and lightly golden-amber. It sure does smell like a West Coast IPA would be expected. There's sharp and dry hops dominating, close to piney for a reference. Yet, it's not devoid of some malt. Drinking, the body is light, but sufficient and smooth. It's taste is mostly of citrus zest and pininess. Although dryly clean at the finish, the high ABV catches up to its overall taste and mouthfeel. The malt backbone that's pleasantly there at the onset gets surpassed by the alcohol during the finish. This is only a mild complaint because it's somewhat expected, considering what's posted on the label. Overall, somehow it's a little too sweet for its body and ABV level. There's as much bite from the alcohol as there is from the hops. Some stratified glass lacing appears, commendable for something this potent. There are layers of citrus, pine and resin references to the hop characteristics. So, this is really pretty good, if you can accept this amount of alcohol in your IPA.
