473ml can served cold into a pint glass. Brewery purchase and canned December 4, 2025.
Appearance - Dark brown with some reddish hues. Some haziness. Two fingers of loose foamy tan head and decent staying power. Some spidery lacing left behind.
Smell - Malty brew with some molasses, treacle and then plenty of spices with cinnamon, ginger and especially nutmeg shining through.
Taste - Very well spiced some immediate ginger and nutmeg with cinnamon and a mildly bitter molasses backing. Lots of malt and elements of a well spiced fruitcake. Booze well hidden. Rich and dense bready undertones and a slight splash of banana.
Mouthfeel - Fairly full body, modest carbonation and with the flavors present a fizzy assault on the tip of the tongue. Finishes very dry.
Overall - An enjoyable and well spiced brew, that fits the style well. The higher ABV is welcome here, providing for a warm and cozy feeling.
