Appearance - Pours with a slight haze and golden orange in color. Off-white, finger width head displays good retention before dying down to a thin, broken layer of suds with a fair ring found around the edge of the glass. Lacing is decent, consisting mostly of broken lines and spotting.
Smell - Aroma is undoubtedly tropical; notes of citrus, mango and papaya play off each other, along with hints of green banana, spice and floral character.
Taste - Follows the nose in mellow, tropical fruitiness. Citrus notes hit first but quickly give way to a mix of mango and papaya, while a hint of green banana comes in at the tail end. Slight spice bite in the finish, but overall a mellow, easy drinker with a lot of tropical tones.
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium in body with moderate carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a slightly dry finish.
Overall - All-around pretty good beer. For the hefty price of the sixer, though, I'd be hard to justify buying it again.
