Bomber from Long's. Clear amber with one finger head, which fades to flat. Aroma is maple with a hint of cinnamon. Taste is very sweet, maple then followed by some savory cinnamon. That's prety much it, not much of the brown ale comes through. A bit sticky and cloying.

This beer concerns me, it is over a year old. I forgot about this beer in my cellar. It is a 6.6 percent beer. The last beer I did that too was awful. I built a cellar management program to prevent this in the future. The beer is 44 degrees and served in a pint glass. Pour of the beer produced a one-finger light tan head. The is creamy and foamy with no lacing after it dissipated. The color of the beer is SRM12 a dark amber with copper hues. The beer is clear to brilliant.
The aromas of the beer are bready, maple syrup, toffee, caramel, toasted malt, vanilla, cinnamon, and a touch of earth.
The flavors of the beer are maple syrup, toffee, caramel, powdered sugar, vanilla, earthy, a hint of floral, toasted malts, cereal, bready, and a touch of cardboard.
The mouthfeel of the beer is coating and slightly creamy.
The body of the beer is medium, low carbonation, and a medium finish.
Hmmm other than the cardboard note (my fault). This beer is not too bad. Great flavors like French Toast. Actually, it is a solid brown ale. To me, t is on par with Newcastle. Tasty beer, glad I got to try it.

It's a pretty good beer. It's light and easy going. You can definitely taste the sweetness of it but it's not 'maple syrup-y' like a lot of "breakfast beers."

Loved this beer! This had a sweet flavor, with a hint of sweet bread. However, the sweetness wasn't overpowering, at all. It also didn't have a strong aftertaste, which I am not a fan of in beers. The only complaint I have is that it is a bit bitter in the finish for such a sweet beer. It kind of throws the drinker off.

Appearance - Pours fairly clear and a dark but brilliant garnet color with a brownish tinge. Tan, near two-finger width head that dissolves rather quickly, leaving behind a mostly barren surface with a thin ring of suds around the edge of the glass. No lacing.
Smell - Brown sugar, vanilla, maple syrup slight cinnamon spice and faint, earthy leaf and nuttiness.
Taste - Follows the nose. Brown sugar and maple sweetness dominate the flavor profile, while supporting notes of cinnamon and a hint of breadiness add some semblance of balance. Kind of an odd earthy/minty/leafy note that sneaks into the finish that is otherwise sweet with fading maple. It would be a cloying drink if the initial sweetness didn't fade as quickly as it does.
Mouthfeel - Light-to-medium body before thinning out in the finish. Light carbonation. Weak finish, but not completely bad.
Overall - Interesting beer, but ultimately falls on the wayside of gimmicky. It simply lacks the depth and body of dark malts and complimentary hops to combat the sweeter aspects that were added to the brew. It did hit on those french-toast inspired notes though, so compliments there. It's just a shame they couldn't tie it into a more complete brown ale profile.
