Pours a crystal clear amber with a short, short lived off white head that dissolves into an island and ring and laces nicely
Faint aroma of sweet rye malts, no noticable ginger that strengthens as the beer warms
Strong earthy rye, like biting into a slice of unseeded Jewish rye bread, again no noticable ginger
Dry, almost chalky finish with a pleasantly peppery, slightly bigger aftertaste
Overall, a very nice rye beer. The rye presence is pronounced and pleasing. You can't taste any ginger, but that's okay because this beer doesn't need it.
