From a 12 oz bottle in a snifter. This decent tripel pours a
pale amber tinged yellow with a light head of white foam that
subsides to a thick ring, thin light pool, and shows light
lacing. Nose of candy sugars, strong phenol notes with
fresh bread and strong herbal notes. Flavors lightly exceed
but seem a bit disjointed. Candy sugars are there, banana
and bread are present, but the herbal hops and other herbal
notes are pretty forward and a bit bitter on the finish but does
improve with warmth. Still an herbal onslaught more akin to a
hop heavy tripel with some bitter orange pith and a touch of
grapefruit pith in there giving it a strong herbal/citrus note.
Decent mouth feel; medium high carbonation
that is outside the style without the soft carbonation, medium
mouth feel, and a warm boozy finish that is a touch hot with
a strong herbal note on the finish.
Overall, a decent attempt towards a tripel that could use
a touch of tweaking.

Clear but missing a solid head; nose/taste/feel have an aspect of estery yeast and alcohol, decently constructed; maybe slightly hot, but tasty.

I'm getting more funk like Brett than I am the typical Belgian yeast smell..
Taste is something like a funky lager ..
Definitely not like a real traditional Belgian beer .
I'm going to finish this one (maybe) but I won't be buying another ever lol.
