A: light golden color, not very hazy at all
S: tropical nose, complex, ripe, dank notes, also spice, complex hops - very nuanced nose
T: rich, full-bodied, intense dankness/skunky wonders, an earthy spice, like mustard seed, rustic floral notes, a huge array of hop characters, crazy tropical notes, mango cream, guava, also cherry and faint bubblegum; a malty sweetness makes more of a presence as it warms. Not particularly juicy for a hazy, as this super-dankness makes a large contribution; very layered, complex flavor profile - it all works together
F: medium carbonation, moderately creamy
O: Wow. A roller coaster ride of rich, widely varying flavors, the beautiful dankness and tropicality winning the day, lots of spice and complex hop profile…lots to mull over. Changes considerably as it warms, with sweeter malts marrying well. An amazing ipa, falling somewhere in between typical hazy and west coast varieties, while verging on being a double/imperial with its intensity of hops and malt flavors. I got a nice fresh can from Trader Joe’s in Berkeley, can’t wait to try again.
