Received as an extra in a trade and shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice slightly hazy honey amber hue with a thin white head that fades to leave a light halo.

S - Aromas of really pleasant rye whiskey barrel notes, slightly spicy. There are pleasant cranberry tartness and slight juice notes. Super well balanced.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with nice tart cranberries, not much spicy rye. There are TONS off buttery oak on the finish that almost borders on buttered popcorn diacetyl level. And the aggressive carbonation doesn't help.

M - Mouthfeel is brightly carbonated, to the point of being distractingly so!

O - Overall this was a very underwhelming beer. It had enormous potential only for the buttery oak and waaay too aggressive mouthfeel to ruin this beer. Really disappointing.

Thanks to rudzud
Light fizzy head with low lacing, no retention, fairly hazy reddish orange color

NOse big tart cranberry, juicy cranberry sour like base beer, little acidic funk, nice big oak barrel, some rye whiskey, vanilla toasted oak, hint of bitters spices

Taste tart cranberry and sour base beer, sour acidic fruit, little funky amost rotten cranberry, then big oak, buttery toasted oak with some spicy rye whisky that clashes a bit with a weird bitterness, then loads of buttery oak late, overpowering, also super high carbonation that tingles and gets very distracting, fair acidity as well, and flemmy finish

Mouth is med body but a little flemmy sticky, super high distracting carbonation, fair acidity

Overall started quite nice, great cranberry and sour base with good barrel, then taste just got really clashing and not so great

"Cranberry Sour Aged in Rye Wigle Whiskey Barrels For 2 Years"

Was able to get this during the happy hour with 2 dollars off the pour but normally it runs about $8.50 for the 12oz tulip.

Color is a very dark ruby hue with a little foam head. Smells of berries cranberry comes to mind but it has more of a sour orange candy and port barrel smell. Very strong and woody. Taste is much more tart than I expected with some mild whiskey and barrel tones breaking up the tart and sweeter edge of the beer. Has a very mild taste of port wine barrel. Body is pretty excellent it drank rather medium to heavy in body.

Overall quite an experience which I expected for the price. Try it if it's still on tap!
