Appearance - The beer was black with an inch of head crowning the tester.
Smell - Chocolate and barrel rose from the nose. The aroma was distinguished.
Taste - The 2023 edition was aged in J. Henry & Sons barrels, imparting barrel notes and sweetness upon the chocolate. The barrel was strong, but did not burn. The profile lingered nicely.
Mouthfeel - With tiny carbonation, the body was smooth.
Overall - This was an excellent barrel aged stout, at a reasonable price.

The nose was molasses, chocolate fudge, tamari, vanilla,, a nice musty wood smell. Taste was dark chocolate covered cherries, brown sugar, caramel, whole grain bread, a good dose of alcohol, with a dry woody finish. This is a really nice barrel aged beer.

Look - black syrup with a thin skim
Smell - all I smell is caramel and vanilla maybe slight cocoa tastiness
Taste - caramel whisky barrel taste with a slight cocoa vanilla
Feel - medium light body, light carb and pretty creamy and smooth
Overall - fantastic

A- Black with a large mocha head.
S- Lots of whiskey, milk chocolate, some oak/vanilla, some caramel.
T- Whiskey, charred oak, some vanilla, chocolate, some roasted malts.
M- Smooth, medium body, slightly creamy.
O- A little whiskey heavy but good, easy to drink.
