This was a gusher when poured, and I lost at least a third of the bottle.
At the store I bought it at (Mr. A's, Palatine), the other bottles were sticky and shards of glass remained on the shelf...one appears to have exploded and they did a lousy job of cleaning it up. I bought the last bottle out of the cooler, and it appears to be infected. Buyer beware, unless they release a new batch.
The entire glass fills with soapy suds after the gentlest of pours. Over the sink I tried pouring into two glasses slowly, but it immediately foamed over every time. Color is an opaque murky orange, dull in saturation. Foam looks like sparkly soap suds.
Aroma still has tropical traces of Galaxy hops, mango and pineapple, though it's a little bit muted.
Taste also has traces of mango and juicy fruits, but it's marred by a sharp astringency and a high level of overcarbonation. Creamy at first, then it just disappears into frothy bubbles. Overall there's a hint of the original intent, though unfortunately marred by infection. I think i'm done with this brewery.

A- Deep Gold, Butterscotch, Cloudy, puffy cumulus white head with loads of retention
S- Right away Citrus, Oranges, Grapefruit, peach, followed by Floral hoppiness and a slight note of maltinss
M- Smooth and even a little creamy, medium mouth feel, good amount of carbonation
T- Taste is sweet, almost peachy but more orange/grapefruit. Finishes with a light hoppy flavor and some malt. Goes down smoothly
O- Very smooth 8%. MWP has a nice balance of flavor, as it covers the spectrum from citrus to malty to hoppy. I may be a bit biased, as I know the brewer, but I was impressed with how smooth this pale ale was.

Poured into tulip
A - Cloudy orange with a massive, creamy head. Reminds me of merengue. Left fluffy lacing throughout as the head wouldn't go away.
S - Immediately on pouring, a strong grapefruit aroma followed by lychee and oranges
T - smooth and fruity with a lot of orange zest along with light hops. the finish is a little smoky/earthy, which surprised me. the head was like a light orange custard.
M - Probably the smoothest 8% I've ever tasted. Goes down easy, and the fluffy head is nice and creamy
Overall, incredibly balanced and tasty for a double. Definitely getting more.

22 oz. bottle, with no apparent bottled on date present. Another new beer to me from Only Child Brewing Co., this one describes itself as an "extra pale ale with lactose". Not entirely too sure of what to expect, but I have been impressed with Only Child Brewing so far.
Poured into a Duvel tulip glass.
A - Pours a juicy cloudy creamsicle orange colored body with four to five big fluffy fingers of white head. Ridiculously good head retention despite the moderately high 8.00% abv. Leaves big fat fluffy lacing on the glass. Looks very nice. 4.5
S - The aroma is very fresh and pleasant smelling. - fruity & floral. Mango, peach, stone fruit, oranges, and their distinctive earthy / bready yeast presence. Very appealing.
T - The taste follows the nose - smooth citrus / floral notes - oranges, mango, flowers, and the trademark bready / earthy house yeast which I absolutely love. Very light sugary lactose presence makes itself known on the finish, and is perfectly integrated into the beer, I would say.
M - The feel is smooth and fluffy, crisp, and well-carbonated. Goes down very easy for the moderate 8.00% abv.
Overall, another excellent beer from Only Child Brewing, and I look forward to exploring more beers and styles from these guys. Keep up the good work, boys.
