Appearance - pours a quick finger+ of creamy eggshell foam and retains a light cap, body is a glowing light orange amber with a slight haze, steady carb rises throughout the session, prominent rings left behind each sip
Smell - big nose of ruby red grapefruit, under ripe pineapple, light tangerine and a whiff of lightly candied pine, and wonderful wafts of natural comb honey as it opens and warms in the glass
Taste - such balance here, all at once your mouth fills with juicy citrus and tropical flavors, not overly sweet, balanced by a strong floral backbone of natural honey. Finishes with citrus pith, dried fruit pits, and hints of floral honey in the mouth corners. Your mouth will water, eager for another quaff - zero alcohol presence, masterful balance.
Mouthfeel - easily medium mouthfeel mostly from bold flavors, carb is light and creamy smooth, barely any scrub, with some wonderful tingle on the sides of the tongue - the back of the tongue becomes wonderfully bitter and slightly dry, like sucking on a peach pit.
Overall - Only Child is KILLING IT! What a wonderful winter DIPA - I have driven to Kalamazoo for years to grab a case of Hopslam. And while Hopslam is a great beer, I'm now replacing it with this one. It's that good, and is a Must Try. Could this be another 5 like their Don't Tell Mama the Baby Citra is Dead? Oh yes... Believe the hype, these guys are real deal.

22oz bottle poured into a snifter. No bottled on date noted but it was a new release at my local shop.
A- A cloudy orange color with a small amount of off-white head which quickly fades.
S- Lots of orange and mango on the nose with some caramel sweetness.
T- Citus hops along with some slight pine notes before the sweet caramel and honey kicks in.
M- Medium bodied, medium carbonation, bitter, refreshing and easy drinking.
Nice take on a DIPA, and my first beer from Only Child.
