Semi-opaque dull orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a huge, noisy eggshell head; thick, frothy lace.
Pineapple, caramel & grapefruit notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Pineapple & caramel flavors up front; crisp spring water notes on the finish.
Like all of OC's hoppy beers, this is too caramel forward. It's drinkable & mildly enjoyable, but that's it.

Poured into a snifter. Moderately hazy dark golden color with a frothy bright white head. Aromas muted, but prominent orange and wheat. Not sweet or malty, but the most noticeable wheat aroma I've had in a hoppy beer. Nicely bitter up front, followed by grapefruit pith and more wheat. A touch of herbal flavor but pretty straightforward.
