Canned early 2017; drank 3/19/17 @ the Palace.
Opaque dull orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice off-white head; frothy lace.
Orange citrus, mild cane sugar & faint baking soda notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Tangy orange citrus & baking soda flavors up front; dry pine notes on the finish.
Drinkable but not very pleasant.

Poured into a snifter. Moderately hazy golden-amber color with a one-finger white head. Good retention and lacing in the glass. Grapefruit pith, grass, and dry bread on the nose. The taste followed - mainly citrus flavors. Very bitter and also dry on the finish. Bready malt. Overall a bit too dry for my tastes.

Burnt amber with an uneven foamy head and coral lace.
Smell is broccoli, orange, grains, and aged cheddar.
Taste is bread, corn, vegetal, pine, lemon, and bitter grapefruit rind.
This one's super bitter and dry.
I Spy Citra may have been too old, but there's no way to tell as there's no can date.

A: light golden brown
S: like any other citra hopped pale or IPA
T: very very dry and bitter. One of the dryest citra hop profiles I've tasted.
M: nice a thin the way a IPA should be.
O: way too dry and bitter for my liking. Leaves a definite "cotton mouth" feel. Better with a large glass of water. For a citra IPA out of the Chicagoland area very meh.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 1 pint can on January 20, 2017. There is no label on the can but I believe this was canned on or around 01/09/17.
